Bonnie Slotnick Cookbooks is one of the few independent bookstores remaining in Greenwich Village. But wait—there’s another one right across the street! It’s Three Lives & Co., the city’s best independent (new) bookshop. And at 266 Bleecker St. you’ll find Bookbook, formerly Biography Books.

Hungry? Try Elephant & Castle, at 68 Greenwich Ave. near Seventh Ave. It’s a tried-and-true local favorite, reasonably priced, cozy, friendly, and delicious!

A selection of books SIGNED by their authors. If you don’t see your favorite here, just ask! There are lots more, including books by:
Vic Bergeron (Trader Vic)
Cecilia Chiang
Julia Child
Bernard Clayton
Helen Corbitt
Alain Ducasse
Pierre Franey
Bert Greene
Marcella Hazan
Maida Heatter
Richard Olney
Jacques Pepin
Richard Sax
John Thorne
Ruth Wakefield (of Toll House fame)

There’s just enough room in the shop for some items to complement all those cookbooks: tableware, kitchen gadgets, culinary ephemera (booklets, ads, magazines), cookie cutters, vintage postcards, handmade greeting cards, and an assortment of tablecloths, tea towels, and napkins.
